Production Technician

 We are seeking a Production Technician for our manufacturing facility in Bellingham, WA. Our technicians will learn how to build a variety of different products, and how to use the machinery and tools within the shop. No experience is required within the industry to apply, but we are focused on hiring team players that work well with others and have high expectations for quality work. As a team we are dedicated to training thoroughly and offering opportunities for growth and promotion. 

Egis Mobile Electric is a small manufacturing business in Bellingham, WA. We are focused on building high quality components that go in Boats, Emergency Vehicles, and Work Trucks. Production Specific Responsibilities:  

• Assemble products with consistent speed and accuracy 

• Ensure production requirements and standards are met consistently 

• Operate tools correctly and maintain them with care 

• Maintain a maximum efficiency rate and collaborate with other team members as part of ongoing lean production efforts to optimize processes 

• Clean and maintain a safe work area 

• Observe all safety guidelines, including no cell phone use outside of breaks and lunch time 

• Follow all written and verbal instructions 

• Maintain on-time attendance requirements and communicate in advance, when possible, any personal needs that conflict with work commitments 

• Many assembly processes require dexterity and working in close proximity with other team members to maintain lean workflow 

• No harsh language and respectful of teammates  

Qualifications and Requirements  

• Flexible schedule (Monday through Thursday hours may vary between 6:00 am to 4:30 pm) 

• Basic math, reading, and writing skills, and basic computer skills 

• Able to stand for extended periods (Egis Mobile Electric production lines are a standing work environment with fatigue pads where appropriate) 

• Able to lift 40 pounds on an infrequent basis. 

• Must be willing to be cross trained across multiple assembly processes and work functions. 

• Experience working in a fast-paced production environment is highly desired, but not necessary.
